Work With Us :

Game Heads is the South East's coolest gaming van company!
We're all about giving our customers the best possible experience, and our 5-star reviews prove it! Our owner's passion for gaming has been driving us since we started back in 2019. We've got big plans for the future, and if you're the right person, you'll be part of an awesome team!

What do Game Heads do?
We offer mobile gaming parties for children from ages 7+, you will drive to the client’s home or venue and provide video/VR gaming events in one of our purpose-built mobile gaming vans for up to 18 players for 90 or 120 min events.
What Positions are available?
Calling all weekend warrior gaming gurus! Do you dream of driving a gaming van and throwing epic parties? Then dust off your controllers and get ready to join the Game Heads crew!

We're looking for a driver/party host to start mid-May 2025! Get ahead of the game!

Picture this: You, cruising around in a van packed with gaming goodness, making kids' dreams come true! You'll be working Saturdays and Sundays on a weekend on/weekend off rota, from 9:30 AM to 8:30 PM (that's roughly 12-24 hours of pure gaming fun!).

Want to game every weekend? No problem! We can make that happen! And if you're itching for more action, we've got extra shifts available Monday through Friday! It's like a gaming buffet!
This is a zero-hours role, which means ultimate flexibility! You're basically a gaming freelancer, choosing your own adventure! But we do need a minimum commitment of one weekend on one off from you.

What we must get from you:
Driving :
Alright, buckle up, buttercup, because we're about to talk van-driving like it's a competitive sport for highly trained squirrels:
"You think you can handle a van? Ha! We're talking a 7.5-meter metal whale, a land-yacht of gaming glory! This ain't your average grocery-getter, folks. This is a vehicular titan that demands respect, nay, fear!
Sure, we've got cameras and beepy-boopy sensors, but sometimes you'll be parking in spaces so tight, you'll be able to hear the van's paint sweat.
You'll need the parking skills of a ninja, the spatial awareness of a bat, and the sheer, unadulterated guts of a squirrel trying to bury a giant acorn in a thimble!

We need proof, people! Show us your van-driving credentials! We're talking van-whisperer level experience! No 'I kinda parallel parked a shopping trolley once' stories! No boy (or girl!) racers need apply (we have onboard cameras and telemetric systems !) We need hardcore evidence! If you can't park this van in a postage stamp while blindfolded and juggling chainsaws, then move along! We need a van-parking legend, not a parking lot pretender!

To join our elite squad of gaming van navigators, you'll need a squeaky-clean UK driving license – we're talking spotless, like a freshly polished controller! And you'll need to have held that license for at least two years, because we don't want any rookie drivers crashing our gaming parties!

Also, you've gotta be 25 or older. Insurance companies, those wise and ancient beings, have spoken! It's their rule, not ours. So, no youthful whippersnappers just out of driving school, sorry!

And remember those 7.5-meter gaming beasts we talked about? You'll need to prove you can handle them! Show us your van-driving prowess! We're picky about gearboxes, we've got both manual and automatic vans, so you need to handle both! Just make sure you can drive them without turning our vans into expensive, gaming-themed bumper cars!

DBS: Will need to be DBS checked as working with children.

Time Management: You've gotta be super reliable and good at keeping track of time! We're talking birthday parties here, so being on time is a must! We've got a perfect track record since 2019, and we want to keep it that way! We give you plenty of time between jobs, so you're not rushing around like a mad hatter. It's a pretty easy gig, as long as you're good at showing up on time!

Fun: We need someone who's basically a walking ray of sunshine! Approachable, fun, and radiating good vibes – that's the Game Heads way! Clients love it, kids love it, and let's be honest, who doesn't love a happy, energetic person? If you're the type who prefers to communicate in grunts and avoid eye contact with children, this ain't the gig for you. Our days are a glorious symphony of laughter, gaming, and general mayhem! We need someone who can keep up and add to the party atmosphere, not someone who's gonna suck the fun out of the room like a gaming black hole. Basically, we need a party animal, not a party pooper!

Right To Work: You must have the right to work in the UK.
What we need to see:
Confidence : You'll be wrangling kids and teens, so you'll need the gift of gab that could charm a digital dragon! And for the parents? You'll need to speak fluent 'parent-ese' – clear, concise, and with a touch of magic! You'll be meeting folks from every corner of the universe (or at least your local area), we have hosted events for the worlds most famous people so your communication skills should be sharper than a pixelated sword! Basically, you'll be a communication superhero able to chat to folk from all walks of life!
Pride: Let's be real – driving a van full of awesome gaming gear and throwing the best parties ever is a pretty sweet gig! You'll be proud to wear our uniform and be part of the Game Heads team! It's a fun, rewarding job that gets you out and about, not stuck behind a desk! Plus, you'll be making kids super happy – what's not to love?"
Console Knowledge :You'll need to speak fluent 'console-ese' – understanding how to connect players, set up team battles, and navigate the digital labyrinth! We'll give you the ultimate gaming boot camp, but you'll need a solid foundation in Xbox and Nintendo systems – no 'winging it' allowed! We're not running a gaming circus here, we're building a digital dynasty!

Service Skills
You've gotta be a people person with a knack for customer service mixed with childcare! You're quick on your feet, love getting things done, and notice the little things. You're super organized, can juggle a million things at once, and stay cool under pressure. Basically, you're a rockstar!
What you will be doing on a average day:
Pick up one of the gaming vans from Bisley, Surrey (you can leave your car there, no problem!). Drive to the party and get there about 30 minutes early.
Set up the van by plugging in the power and internet, and get all the games ready to roll!
Start the party on time! You'll be hanging out in and around the van for 1.5 or 2 hours, helping the kids out and chatting with parents. You're the gaming guide!
When the party's over, clean up the van and the consoles.
Then, head to your next gig or back to base!"
What we offer you in return:
You are paid from collecting the van to dropping off the van.
Pay is £15.50 per hour on PAYE
We offer a feedback bonus scheme as well which can top you up by an extra £50 a week (talk to us about this on the interview day).
This is a zero hour contract
Flexible with hours (maybe you need to swap a weekend around with another driver/host not a problem)
A Uniform to wear.
Free secure parking on site
Paid Holidays
Pension
Paid breaks
Full training is given, you will be learning how to do everything that is needed from driving a 7.5 meter long van to plugging in the equipment , linking games together, customer service techniques or cleaning regimes ! We will train you how to do it all until you feel confident to go it alone!
We are looking to have staff join from Mid May 2025
We are a flexible, fun, exciting business , the right candidate will find this job easy, fun and rewarding.
